Rich Bailey is owner and president of Rich Bailey Construction LLC.  Rich has been building quality homes in Columbia County for the past seventeen years.  He has lived in St. Helens for the majority of his life. He graduated from St Helens High school in 1974, where he was active in sports, clubs and student government. In High school, his favorite classes were wood shop and drafting. From an early age Rich was involved in construction working for his family’s floor covering shop.  He has always loved wood working and as a hobby enjoyed making furniture for his home.  Rich and his wife of 29 years, Ellen have put many hours into running his construction company. It has always been a true family business.  His two daughters Katie and Molly continue to help in the family business even though both currently attend Pacific University in Forest Grove.  From clean up, to running to get materials, to lending suggestions they are involved.

Rich’s community involvement has always been very important to him.  When his daughters were younger he coached softball and served as President of the girl’s softball association. For the past four years Rich has served as the St Helens Sports Booster President.  Over the years he has also volunteered labor and materials to several non profit organizations.

Rich understands what it takes to build a quality home.  No matter the size, every home should be quality built.  The sub contractors and suppliers he has built a relationship with over the years understand his demand for quality as well. It’s this attention to the details which sets his homes apart from the others.  He has had many years of experience building and working with customers. Rich feels he knows what it takes from start to finish to complete not just a house but a home that the customers will appreciate for many years. 

Rich was featured as Builder of the Month in the Builder/Architect Magazine in April of 2000.  He is a member of the Home Builders Association and The Better Business Bureau.

Rich currently has no homes available in Columbia Hills but is ready to build your custom home on any of the available lots.
